Yesterday afternoon, Alex Greene and Wreckless Eric played the Harbor Town Amphitheater as part of the River Series. It would have been a beautiful spring show except... it was about 40 degrees that day, and so much colder being down by the river! Wreckless Eric joked that we would blame him for bringing the British weather with him.
The conditions might not have been ideal for an outdoor show, but it was better than some of the rainy, muddy Beale Street Music Fests we've had! It was a really unique show, and I loved listening to some good, unique music from Alex Greene and Wreckless Eric.
After the show, I spoke with Eric for several minutes, mostly about writing about music and how difficult that is. Which led to me recommending a young adult book to him - Here We Are Now by Jasmine Warga. She beautifully describes how music can make you feel and what certain songs can mean to you, so if you're a music lover, I recommend it to you, too!
